Connect ForthWrite in Claude

In Claude, open Connectors and add ForthWrite. If it is not in the directory yet, add a custom connector and paste https://www.forthwrite.ai/mcp. Claude will send you to ForthWrite to sign in and Approve.

Sign in to the ForthWrite account you write as

Approve on the ForthWrite consent screen. Claude can then draft as that account. New accounts that connect from Claude start a Pro trial, so the first draft works. After the trial, drafting needs Standard or Pro.

Ask for a draft, or look up a contact

Paste the thread, or name the other person's email and what you want to say. Claude should draft right away. For a contact lookup, use an email, Slack id, or LinkedIn handle, not just a first name.

Review, then copy it into your mailbox

ForthWrite never sends. The draft is text only. Read it, edit it, and paste it into Gmail, Outlook, or Slack yourself. If Claude offers to send it, decline: that is Claude talking, not a ForthWrite action.

What Claude can ask ForthWrite to do

Two tools. That is the whole connector.

Draft as user. Returns a reply in your writing voice. Needs the thread (or enough of it) and, when you have one, the other person's email. Never sends. Never opens a mailbox.
Contact context. A read-only lookup of what ForthWrite already knows about someone. Needs an email, Slack id, or LinkedIn handle. A display name or company is not enough.

Swap in an address ForthWrite already knows. Contact context will say it found nothing if that person is not in your graph yet.

What this connector can and can't do

ForthWrite never sends email, Slack, or LinkedIn messages through this connection. The draft comes back as text for you to review.
Claude receives only the draft text or the contact summary you asked for. ForthWrite does not hand Claude your mailbox or your full sent history.
You can disconnect at any time from Connections in ForthWrite, or from Claude's own connector settings.
